Why Join the Walnut Grove PTA?

Well, the most direct benefit to your family has to be our fabulous student directory, which contains all the
information you’ll ever need and is only available to PTA members.

But more importantly, your membership and participation in the PTA here at Walnut Grove supports the myriad academic programs and terrific activities that make this school community such a special place. You’ll also be part of a larger organization at the state and national level that is the oldest and undeniably the best child advocacy group in the world!

If you are interested in joining the Walnut Grove PTA, please fill out our membership form. You can also use this form if you wish to correct or clarify your listing in the school directory. Please print, fill out the form and bring it to the school office.


PTA is the largest child advocacy organization in the United States. A not-for-profit organization of parents, educators, students and other citizens active in their schools and communities PTA is a leader in reminding our nation of its obligations to children.

Membership in National PTA is open to anyone who is concerned with the education, health and welfare of children and youth.

The purpose of the Parent Teacher Association

To promote the welfare of children and youth in home, school, community and place of worship.

To raise the standard of home life.

To secure adequate laws for the care and protection of children and youth.

To bring into closer relation the home and the school, that parents and teachers may cooperate intelligently in the education of children and youth.

To develop between educators and the general public such united efforts as will secure for all children and youth the highest advantages in physical, mental, social and spiritual education.
